Travelling by car, train or bus?

If travelling by car using the M6, exit at Junction 20 or via the M56 exit at Junction 9, signposted Lymm and Services. The village centre is signposted, although please be aware the centre of the village will be closed to general traffic from 8:00am to 5:30pm. 

FREE park and ride service running between 10:00am until late

Visitors to this years’ Dickensian Day are able to take
advantage of the hassle-free car parking facility located at
Lymm High School, Oughtrington Lane, Lymm, Cheshire
WA13 0BR.

Why not park up and enjoy a free ride, which will be running round trips throughout the day between Lymm High School and the village centre.

People living in the vicinity of the High School are also welcome to use the bus service to Dickensian Day.

Car parks
There are a number of car parks available in Lymm. Parking fees apply at some locations, although not all car parks will be available to use on Dickensian Day.

If you are travelling by car it is advisable to get to Lymm early. Where possible, please use the park and ride service mentioned above.

Road Closures during Dickensian
Please note: the village centre is closed to traffic from 8:00am to 5:30pm and surrounding roads will be closed for the Grand Parade at 12:30pm.

By train
The nearest train stations to Lymm are located in Warrington, Altrincham and Irlam. For information on how to plan your journey, please visit national rail’s website.

By bus
Lymm is accessible by bus between Warrington and Altrincham
